In September, we screened The Homecoming at the Milwaukee Short Film Festival in Milwaukee, WI and the BronzeLens Festival in Atlanta, GA. For both festivals, we took home three awards combined:

I will be traveling to Milwaukee, WI for the Milwaukee Film Festival at the beginning of October as we will be screening in their Black Lens Shorts: Family Matters program. I am excited to bring the film to Milwaukee and to finally begin networking with the local filmmaking community there.

More Festival Fun!!

Great news on The Homecoming front!

My short film, The Homecoming, has screened at the Austin Film Festival this past October, and will screen at the Green Bay Film Festival and the Pan African Film Festival in 2017!

I am super excited to take my film to my home state. It will be the Wisconsin premiere of the film, and I am looking forward to sharing the film with my fellow Sconnies at the GBFF in March.

Speaking of premieres, our Los Angeles premiere will be at the Pan African Film Festival! What is even more exciting is that it is the 25th anniversary for PAFF and I am thrilled to be able to screen our film at such an event and during such a fantastic milestone.

You are all invited to join us at our screenings at these events. Click on the links above for each festival for schedule updates and information on purchasing tickets to the screenings. I will post information as well as it becomes available.

Hope to see you there!

Booked it!

It's been a fun and steady fall on the indie front for me this year.

I recently booked a lead role in a short film called 1800 MG/D directed by RJ Dawson, a very talented AFI directing fellow. We had a blast on the four day shoot telling the story of Daryl, who struggles with managing his bipolar disorder, and must choose between staying on his medication and saving his relationship with his longtime girlfriend, Lauren. It was a simple story, beautifully told and I had an amazing time filming with the rest of the cast and crew.

I also just recently booked a supporting role in a feature length independent film that is being written and produced by my talented colleague, Allison Volk. Allison and I met through a Women in Film mentoring group and hit it off. I am so excited to have this opportunity not only to dive into the life of another character, but also to be able to work with a woman that I've long admired.

I hope I have another something by the end of the year to sign off with, and if I do, you will all be the first to know!

ABC Discovers Digital Talent Competition Finalist

Great news everyone!

I have been selected as one of ten finalists for the ABC Discovers Digital Talent Competition. It is such an honor to be amongst this great group of actors!

UPDATE: I was not selected as the winner of the competition, BUT, I must say that I am very grateful with the wonderful experiences I have had with ABC Casting throughout this process. Can't wait to apply again next year!
